Features
This attractive plant is about two feet high with pointed leaves and pink flowers. This plant is native to South Africa but is grown in many other regions including Egypt
History
It was once regarded as a great healing plant and used to remedy wounds, tumors, cholera, and fractures. The belief in its powers throughout the centuries disposed people to plant it around their cottages to keep evil spirits at bay. The French began commercial production of this oil early in the 19th century.
Mind
A helpful tonic for the nervous system and helps alleviate anxiety and depression.
Body
It is useful for regulating the hormonal system and helps with PMS, menopause, depression, and heavy periods. Its diuretic properties are effective in treating jaundice, kidney and gallbladder stones, urinary infections, fluid retention, and swollen ankles. It's helpful in keeping throat and mouth infections at bay, anti-inflammatory, and a good insect repellent,

Pregnancy – Basil, Birch, Cedarwood, Clary Sage, Cypress, Geranium, Jasmine, Juniper, Marjoram, Myrrh, Peppermint, Rosemary, Turmeric
Avoid all essential oils during the first three months of pregnancy.
Avoid Frankincense and Turmeric if taking blood-thinning medication.
Skin Sensitivity – Black pepper, Citronella, Clove, Ginger, Lemon, Lemongrass, Orange, Peppermint, Turmeric
Photosensitising Oils – Bergamot, Grapefruit, Lemon, Lime, Orange, Mandarin, and Tangerine - They react to ultraviolet light making the skin more sensitive.
This oil is considered safe for pets if used correctly.
